Over in Tamworth, Owen Davis, Nick Parkes and Kim Leary took part in the 5 mile race organised by Tamworth AC. This started and finished at the club track, and took in a scenic route around the parks. As usual, there was a strong turnout from other local clubs (the race is part of the Burton and District Summer League series) and the field was predictably strong.

Owen finished in 34th place, with a time of 34:04, followed by Nick (44th – 34:04). Kim finished as 33rd female in 46:23, in her race debut, as the club’s sole female representative on the day.
