Event 4 of the 2025 BDSL series saw a warm and sunny Gate Gallop 10km in Tamworth.

LRC had 24 runners out, with plenty of great performances — and it was especially fantastic to see new members taking on their first club event!

This race, like the Lichfield 10k, donates all proceeds to local good causes — and the food and cakes afterwards were very welcome in the sunshine.

We had lots of members improving on last year’s times, with John Doyle and Dan Floyd finishing 2nd and 3rd overall, and Andy Evans claiming 1st V40 Male. The three of them also made up the winning men’s team on the day — we’ll see how this impacts the BDSL standings soon!
